Library, Tuesday

Rinoa didn't mean to be late to the library. She had just stayed up entirely too late with her filing system finally started, and had forgotten to set an alarm. Angelo usually woke her to be let outside, but -- wait, where was Angelo!?? OH. Right. Squall had her. Right, then.

Rinoa showered and threw on clothes in a hurry, and then packed up a stack of papers and dragged them in to the library with her. She had to hope Belle wouldn't mind. Paperwork seemed appropriate for a library.

"I should say no just to be a jerk," Seifer said as he pulled the kitten from his pocket and set him on the counter.

"And seriously, that is not his name. I'm thinking Galahad."

"Are you really pissed at me?" she asked, clearing a spot from her paperwork for the kitten. "But he's adorable. Why did you want to name him after Squall's dad, anyway?"

Excuse Rinoa for a minute. She needed to lean over and nuzzle the kitten's face.

"...no." He hated admitting that, but it was true. "You gotta remember, we didn't know he was Squall's dad, but we used to watch that movie he did over and over as kids."

Correction, Seifer did. The others probably watched so he wouldn't pout.

"So, yeah. That's why."

"Squall's dad was in a movie?" Rinoa giggled. "Seriously? How is it that I have never seen this movie?"

This required a movie night. A less brain-breaking one than the time she suggested they all watch porn together.

"Are you keeping him?" she asked. "Oh my gosh, he's so little. Who's so little? Who is that?"

"Have Zell or Selphie get it for you. It's so bad it's awesome."

It really, really was. And just fun too.

"Yeah, I'm keeping him." He just shook his head at the babytalk.

"Okay, I'm serious," Rinoa said, leaning over to kiss the kitten's head. "Movie night. Popcorn. I bring Squall, and you bring Fluffyboots."

She didn't mean that. She just looked up to see how violently he'd react to the most gag-inducing name she could think up on the fly.

"He is not Fluffyboots," Seifer growled. Seriously, Fluffyboots? He thought she was able to slow down her brain cells long enough for them to communicate, unlike Selphie.

I'm scared to ask what you call Squall."

She cracked up at that.

"I don't have any pet names for him," she said. "Do you think I should? It would have to be something really obnoxious, so he'd get super cranky and sulk whenever I called him that."
