Basic Strategy, Monday, 10/03

"Welcome to class," Tyrion said, once they'd gathered in the usual classroom. "I hope you enjoyed seeing your families or guardians, if they came; a few of them spoke with me. I promise I said nothing incriminating."

"This is a fairly easy week -- for me, not for you. I just have to read the names on this piece of paper, then you're to take care of the rest of it. I drew names at random to pair you up. Each pair is to spend some time together over the course of the week discussing something each of you might teach the other, and perhaps beginning some instruction in it. I don't especially care what the skill is, but please, nothing illegal, particularly immoral, or likely to get you killed."

He was betting on the last element being the hardest.

"You can either spend today as a discussion session, or leave with your partner to go work on whatever you're teaching each other. Next week, we'll discuss what we learned."

And with that, he took out the sheet and began to read.

"I'd probably check for a ward first," Kate offered. "People don't often have alarms at home." At least, not ones that worked.

"... And I thought we were talking about breaking into our homes and cars," she said, huffing a snicker.

Kenzi coughed, then grinned. "Of course. Someone might install one. As a surprise gift. Or, you know, not, and you're just stuck cleaning up all that glass. How do you check for award?" she asked, curious.
