Basic Strategy, Monday, 10/03

"Welcome to class," Tyrion said, once they'd gathered in the usual classroom. "I hope you enjoyed seeing your families or guardians, if they came; a few of them spoke with me. I promise I said nothing incriminating."

"This is a fairly easy week -- for me, not for you. I just have to read the names on this piece of paper, then you're to take care of the rest of it. I drew names at random to pair you up. Each pair is to spend some time together over the course of the week discussing something each of you might teach the other, and perhaps beginning some instruction in it. I don't especially care what the skill is, but please, nothing illegal, particularly immoral, or likely to get you killed."

He was betting on the last element being the hardest.

"You can either spend today as a discussion session, or leave with your partner to go work on whatever you're teaching each other. Next week, we'll discuss what we learned."

And with that, he took out the sheet and began to read.

"Weird, but probably useful," she said, and that would also serve as her yes to being Susan. "So. What can you teach me?"

"Um, I don't suppose you want to learn self defense?" Jason asked. "That's probably what I'm best at."

Susan considered this.

"I suppose it couldn't hurt," she said. "In turn, would you by chance need any help with... maths?" Sometimes she despised her logic-mindedness.

"I'm not really taking any math classes, but that's because it's not my best subject, so...maybe?" Jason said. "If that's what you're best at, that's kind of cool."

"Math, logic, common sense." It was a curse, really. "There's not much else I can do within a week going by that."

Though it may become a huge part of a syllabus later in life.
