Monday Midday
She needs to talk to students after class, so she sits at her desk...waiting.

Although last time I was drunk, I almost called Principal Connor to see if she'd be willing to be faculty sponsor for a Vodka Appreciation Society, so I think I'd rather have actually called you!

Well, it's not every day you get a student talking rubbish in Russian on your answer machine!

I wouldn't say that... I certainly consider speech to be my favorite class

I didn't realize you'd talked to the other Doctor. About me, at least. He didn't tell me.

I'm not used to people being concerned about me. You acting... protective. The other Doctor considering himself my guardian. *does teenage boy shrug of 'have no words for deep emotions'*

[Looking up] I think they are wrong, you know. The Harkness they knew wasn't you. You're Chip...and if you want, I'll tell you your future.

I see that you are, right now, a high school student. You have secrets. You feel alone, sometimes angry, and confused at times. But there is also happiness. See this line? That means happiness.
As for your future, I see work, hard work. Satisfaction. Friends. Love...many loves. Chip, you scoundrel...see this line? Yeah, many.
[She looks into his eyes, still holding his hand, but ignoring it]
This line here tells me you're going to live a normal life, full of connections to people, full of love and pain, happiness, anger, sometimes fear. But you'll be strong. You'll be a good man. And when you die, as everyone does eventually, you will be missed by those you touched.
[Her eyes glisten, but she smiles]
And that's probbaly as acurate as anything anyone else could tell you.

But not as much as me, Chip.

You're the first person who's ever said that to me.
*And he's gone.*

We've got a unique environment here at Fandom High. Everyone is supposed to have a clean slate, but once the past comes up, some people have a hard time dealing with it. The Human/Non-Human Aliiance is going to be a very helpful tool, I think.

Outwardly she smiles brightly and says, "I'll get in touch with both of them, thanks."
She starts to get her things and then remembers she had one more question to ask. "My dad didn't come to see you this weekend, did he?"

"Listen, can I ask you a favor?"
