Fighting for Funsies!, Friday
After the kids had been ever so handwavily informed to meet in the Danger Shop... they met in the Danger Shop. Hopefully all readers out there were sitting down for that shocking turn of events. If not... have a blanket.
"So, today we're gonna get some hands on experience in a fight. In that whole WWE, sublimating those desires into violence, tiny ankled Liefeldian kind of way," Deadpoolsaid rambled, completely ignoring the giant guy with the glowyeye next to him. "But not Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Samoan national treasure."
Deadpool needed to stop watching The Rock movies.
"Wade needs to stop watching The Rock movies," Cable said, proving that he'd been around Deadpool for way too long at this point. "What we're trying to say is that contained, consensual violence can be a good outlet - and a good way to train yourself and keep your edge sharp."
"Do not." Do so. And stop sulking. "Stupid inner monologue agreeing."
It all made perfect sense, kids.
"What we're gonna do is this: those of you who lack a pair can watch me and Nate here demonstrate this friendly sparring thing. The folks who put on their training bras this morning can find someone to fight instead."
"You're also welcome to do both," Cable supplied. "I think this is going to be a few rounds..."
Deadpool stared at him for a moment, trying not to make the innuendo that demanded to be said. "Yes," he finally settled on.
Innuendos would come later. "Now hit the mats," Cable replied, not at all co-opting the class, "And get going."
