The Club Fair, Gym, Friday Afternoon

Though he'd heard about something like it being in the works, the club fair wasn't what Simon had been looking for.

Regardless, it was what he found, just as it was being set up. He almost left straight away, to avoid being in anyone's way, but then his curiosity won out. So, he decided to stay and take a look at the club schedule.

Couldn't hurt, could it?

Pause.

"So long as you bring a music player and whatever else and I don't have to, like, remember shit."

It was Apathy Club. They were lucky she bothered to show up every week. Asking more than that was out of the question.

George had to glare at him for a minute.

"No," she said. "Are you gonna try to make us do stuff?"

Because she was so going to be pissed off if he tried any of that shit.

"Why would I do that? I'll just be the musical coordinator or something."

"Oh." George shrugged. "That, I have no problem with."

People wanting Apathy Club to do something: those people needed to be stopped. Anything that didn't require her to do shit, though, was fine.

"But if you show up with peppy crap some week just to piss me off, I'll stab you in your sleep."

Seifer eyed her, because really, she hadn't figured that out yet.

"So, I've signed up for the frat, Pride and Apathy. You know, one of these things is not like the other, and will look very interesting on college apps."

George gave him a thoughtful glance at one of those.

"I didn't know you were gay," she said. And, after a second of reflection, seh added, "Or ... bi, or ... straight but all supportive, or ... none of my business."
