The Club Fair, Gym, Friday Afternoon

Though he'd heard about something like it being in the works, the club fair wasn't what Simon had been looking for.

Regardless, it was what he found, just as it was being set up. He almost left straight away, to avoid being in anyone's way, but then his curiosity won out. So, he decided to stay and take a look at the club schedule.

Couldn't hurt, could it?

Rilla slid into her chair with a bright smile and only checked the clock a few times to be sure she wouldn't be late in picking up Jims.

"Oh, we get together to learn about bettering ourselves, raising money for charities and playing with makeup," Rilla said enthusiastically. "It's so much fun!"

Sov nodded, although not completely sure if this was 'fun' as much as 'a good thing' (they hadn't really payed attention to the playing with makeup part, and said: "How do you better yourself? And what charities? Maybe I should join."

"Oh, all kinds of things," Rilla said. "We learned about college applications, and we can teach other skills that we're good at and others might not be--cooking, or knitting, or auto repair or something. And we'll take votes early on about charities," she said. "I'm quite partial to the Red Cross right now, but that's because we have a war on at home and they are helping wounded soldiers."
