The Club Fair, Gym, Friday Afternoon

Though he'd heard about something like it being in the works, the club fair wasn't what Simon had been looking for.

Regardless, it was what he found, just as it was being set up. He almost left straight away, to avoid being in anyone's way, but then his curiosity won out. So, he decided to stay and take a look at the club schedule.

Couldn't hurt, could it?

"I'd love one," he said. "And yeah. You're Petra, right? That's a cool name. I wasn't expecting to see a club like this here, although I guess I shouldn't be surprised with how abnormally accepting everyone is."

"Well, I'm new," Petra said wryly, "so I didn't know how accepting or not anyone was and just jumped blindly. So far it seems to be working out okay."

"People here are kind of amazingly nice," Billy said. "I can't remember the last time I've gone this long without getting bullied in school, or at least gotten stupid comments thrown at me. I'd say people are nicer to lesbians, but that's probably not true."

"Oh, me? I'm straight," Petra told him. "I am, however, trans." So really, she probably got even more stupid slung her way.

"It's cool," Petra said with a little shrug. "Statistically it's probably a better bet, and since I'm new and not out to a ton of people here yet, I figured there would be some confusion when I camped out under a couple of rainbow flags all afternoon."
