The Club Fair, Gym, Friday Afternoon

Though he'd heard about something like it being in the works, the club fair wasn't what Simon had been looking for.

Regardless, it was what he found, just as it was being set up. He almost left straight away, to avoid being in anyone's way, but then his curiosity won out. So, he decided to stay and take a look at the club schedule.

Couldn't hurt, could it?

"Sure," Petra said. "Or you can just gank one of my cupcakes, there's not actually a membership requirement." A beat. "Don't tell the whole gym I said that."

"Why would I share that news with them? More for people with skillz or interest in joining." Yay! Sugar! Kenzi happily ripped off the wrapper and nommed. "So which initial are you?" she asked, then mmmm'd. "If that's cool. Or if you are one."

"They're more to maybe make people more comfortable coming over and talking to me. Sometimes it's hard to join a group like this. Or be seen joining a group like this. And not that it's any of your business," Petra said firmly, but with good humor, "but T."

"Cool." Kenzi nodded, mostly unfazed, but willing to take that as an answer and let it go. Still nibbling, she said, "I have friends who are B. Or maybe Q. Or maybe whatever it would be if you were into everything?" Would Bo count as P for pan-sexual? She wasn't into gremlins or zombies, but mostly she was good with everything, so? "...and some who don't seem to know I'm a girl yet. So. Whatever that is."

"'Oblivious,' I think," Petra said dryly. She thought being into everything might make one a slut, but she didn't say that, because it would come out wrong--there was totally nothing wrong with being a slut!

Bo was way too cool for that word, yup. There needed to be a new one. Or someone just needed to decide that it was awesome again.

"That fits," Kenzi decided, taking another bite. "Or 'easily traumatized.'" Topher.

"Sadly, I don't have a club for that," Petra said. "I want to talk to the student council about some kind of sex ed workshop--if I make it, of course--" because even though she hadn't heard of any late entrants, she didn't want to count her chickens before they hatched "--but I don't know how to not make teenage boys not act like teenage boys."

"Dude, if you could do that, you'd deserve a knighthood, or a sainthood, instead of just a student council seat," Kenzi said, perching on a seat near the table. "Women everywhere would name their babies Petra. They'd put up statues. In gold."

Petra wandered off into this fantasy for a moment, then shook her head a little. "Okay, I'm back. Sadly, not going to happen."

"Toooo bad." Kenzi shook her head wistfully. "Sex Ed workshops. Hmm. That could be interesting for some of the princesses. Then again, maybe they know ways to fake being virgins? Not that that comes in handy anywhere here. I hope."

"People are going to have sex whether or not we have sex ed," Petra pointed out. "See also, the great whopping failure that is abstinence-only. I just think we should try to keep the STDs and teen pregnancy rates down." Rilla.

Yeah, what was up with that other Canadian girl and her baby? Kenzi had been afraid to ask.

"...wow. I just had a horrifying thought about what if last weekend had been more real and oh god now I want to buy a pregnancy test."

Petra was just assuming it was Rilla's baby until she learned otherwise. Rilla was from a different time and all that.

"Might not be a bad idea," Petra admitted. "Yikes."

"Right. Test." And not going near the Clinic because *Scully* worked at the Clinic and just, no. No no no. Kenzi paused. They had used birth control. But... "Crap. Now I'm going to be wondering about this." Damnit. And she'd been enjoying cupcakes!

"Sorry!" Petra said. "Maybe it'll be fine? You can, um. Have a second cupcake?"

"Thank youuu," Kenzi said, perking up a little. She took a cupcake, then leaned over to scribble her name at the top of the list. "I'm gonna go get this settled. Back later. Hopefully without a Name Your Baby Book." Yargh.

"Good luck!" Petra said, and she totally meant it.
