Tuesday: Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse

Today the classroom was divided into two areas.

In one area there was a tranquil zen garden. With pillows. A fountain. A little sandpit with rocks and a a wooden rake to smooth or make marks in the sand. And several boxes of Twinkies.

On the other side of the room was a minivan. And some crowbars.

"So I'm guessing that some of you have had a bad weekend," Columbus said with a sympathetic look at his students. "Or at least you know someone who might have had a bad weekend. Either way, I thought we'd switch the schedule of classes a bit. So today instead of you having to run and fight zombies, I'd thought we'd focus on rule number thirty two."

As usual, Columbus pulled out his remote. As usual the block letters appeared behind him.

"Sometimes, even in the worst of circumstances, it's best to make sure you enjoy the little things in life. Because when you do? The rest of it doesn't seem so bad. So today, you have the option of either sitting down and enjoying a small zen little area or-"

Columbus picked up a crowbar and threw it through the windshield of the minivan.

"-taking your frustrations out on a minivan. Enjoy.

Full with the energy of the prospect of consequence-free violence (which he usually had to witness other people doing), Butters bounced from foot to foot, eying the van, eying the Twinkie Room. He couldn't choose just one! Did he have to choose just one? Maybe he could have his Twinkies and then cheer the other people on? Or have his Twinkies an then beat up the car....if he had to just choose one, he wanted Twinkies; Twinkies were delicious and he could still have fun watching other people beat up the car, and...

Butters grabbed a handful of Twinkies from the soundproof area and hurried back to the car with them clutched in his hand. "Get the car!" he encouraged everyone else so he could eat first, demolish later. "Get it!"
