Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part III

Once people got through their introductions and initial brain breaking, some of them would surely want to sit down. Luckily, there were plenty of tables and chairs set up across the lawn, some in the shade, some out in the open, some close to the buffet, and some in as much of a shadowy corner as one could get in an outdoor space with no actual walls. It was all part of the Fandom experience, really.

[OCD is up! This is the SECOND post for general mingling. Use this post if your browser can't handle the comment load of the first mingling post. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"See anyone interesting yet? I promised Momoko that I'd tell her all about the new kids that she missed out on," said Lion-o, returning from the buffet with another over-loaded plate.

"I think I saw dragons," Scully said, giving Lion-O a cordial smile. "Or, well, at least tiny flying lizards," she added, nodding over to the white-haired girl looking a little shell-shocked. "That has to be the stand-out so far. Although several girls look like they're wearing medieval-wear."

"Dragons?" asked Lion-o, raising an eyebrow. "I don't think I've ever seen one close-up before. I'll keep my eyes open for that."

"A couple boys I don't know, but they might have come in with the last group or so," Scully noted. "I missed the last picnic, I was in D.C." She tilted her head. "Have you seen anyone you know? Apparently that happens sometimes too." Scully was always grateful it hadn't happened to her, yet.

"From what I saw, the last group of new kids was fairly small. This one seems bigger," said Lion-o. "And I haven't seen anyone I know or anyone that resembles a cat."

Wiley-kat and Wiley-kit were probably old enough to start at Fandom, he realized, but Lion-o hoped that he would graduate before they showed up. They were bound to get into lots of trouble.
