As whatever was happening on the island became less and less likely to be cleared up with a good old fashioned fight, it seemed it was time to figure out just what to do next. So, a radio announcement let people know to meet up at the school to pool their resources and go over what they knew so far.

Even if some of the people who were supposed to be in charge weren’t looking quite so well anymore...

"How much worse is it going to get?" Belle finished, winding her hands together. "How much longer do we have before we're all gray? We're short on time to find a solution. And from the looks of things, getting anywhere near the rock is going to prompt exposure, and we can't fix it if we can't study it...."

"I was near it while it was being studied the other day, and I'm fine," Hermione assured her. "We have some information, and I'm sure there are other solutions that we just haven't yet, but I'm sure someone has."

She wasn't sure about this, but she was going for optimism here.

Belle nodded, taking a deep breath. "I'll keep looking. Maybe there's something in Special Collections. I can look in there if we need to, especially if...online isn't giving us anything."
