Pinkie had the class meet her in one of the more home-ec-y classrooms this week. When they came in, they'd find that each workstation had been stocked up with chef's hats, a large mixing bowl, a wide assortment of ingredients, a cookbook open on a stand, and a set of muffin tins.

Someone notify Stark and Anders: the pony was stealing their shtick.

"Today's class is all about party food!" Pinkie announced happily when it was time for class to begin. "And nothing says 'PARY!' like a cake! Or even better, lots of MINI cakes! The best way to really show your party guests that you care is to bake them yourselves, of course, which is why today, we're all going to bake ourselves some cupcakes! It's super easy!"

Aaaaaaaaand she burst into song:

All you have to do is take a cup of flour, add it to the mix
Now just take a little something sweet, not sour, a bit of salt, just a pinch

Baking these treats is such a cinch, add a teaspoon of vanilla
Add a little more, and you count to four, and you never get your filla

Cupcakes -- so sweet and tasty
Cupcakes -- don't be too hasty
Cupcakes -- cupcakes, cupcakes, CUPCAKES!

"See? Easy as the pinkiest of all pies!" Yeah, she totally went there. "Now, you all should have everything you need to make a batch of delicious cake-y treats! So have fun!"

Sick and/or tired of LJ's latest wackiness

That Pinkie, she has a song for almost every occasion.

Alas, it seems as though someone has replaced some of the stations' recipe books with Applejack's own special recipe. Potato chips instead of chocolate chips, cola instead of baking soda, a "cup of sour" for the flour, and worms!

Thankfully, the earth worms have been replaced with gummy worms, so this might not be too much of a war crime. . . .

Hey, Jim had seen weirder recipes back home, and he still wasn't completely familiar with the food around here. So he could hardly be held responsible for thinking that it was totally okay to put lemons and potato chips into the same bowl.

Nice, soggy baked potato chips, with a zest of lemon and held together with gummy worms? Totally up Jim's alley. He didn't have to kill these cupcakes before eating them, which was always a win in his book.

"Not half bad!"

He probably would get along nicely with Karla, come to think of it.
