Physical Education, Period 4 - 7/15

Today the guy was set up for playing basketball. Or, in this case, a less involved game of HORSE. Because he didn't have an entire week to go over the basics of the sport with people who weren't from Earth. Or this Earth.

It was all very complicated.

"Alright, kids!" Guy shouted, bouncing a basketball for a moment before stopping it. "We're going to play a game of HORSE here today. Break off into groups of two or more and grab a ball while I explain how this works."

Not at all a recipe for disaster there! "The first player can shoot from anywhere on the court," Guy started, gesturing out at the court where multiple hoops were set up. "If they makes that shot, then the other person has to duplicate the same shot from the same spot If the second person misses, they get the first letter from the word horse, an 'h'. If they make the shot, no letter is given and they get to shoot anywhere they want like the first person did. If you miss when you take the first shot... the ball goes to the next person to try."

Guy nodded at the class, as if shooing them on their way. "The first person to spell 'horse' loses. Got it?"

Jack bounced the ball once or twice as he considered the basket. Granted, baseball was more his game but he should be able to handle a game of HORSE without any problems.

"Hey," Jack said approaching guy while bouncing a basketball around in his hand. "Just wanted to let you know I was here last week. Only I was a dog."

"Nah," Jack said with a non-commital shrug. "Didn't even turn into a horse over the weekend. Hopefully it's a one time thing."

"Pony?" he asked sympathetically.

"Yeeeeah," Jack said shaking his head. "Don't get me started."
