Once again, Sam had taken over the computer lab for his workshop, and since it was the first time they were meeting, he'd made sure all the computers were on and ready to go when the students arrived.

"Hey guys," he said, perching on the edge of the desk, since it made him a little less intimidatingly tall. "I'm Sam Winchester, and you all can call me Sam because I'm really not old enough to be Mr. Winchester yet. For those of you who don't know me, I graduated from Fandom last year after four seriously crazy and awesome years, so if you've ever wondered if it's possible to survive here for that long, it totally is. If you have any questions about this place, and not just about class, I'd be happy to talk to you." Because there were few things Sam loved more than talking about Fandom, the dork. "I'm going to be spending the next few weeks getting you guys more comfortable with computers, and/or showing you how to do stuff you don't normally do. Computers are a big part of the 21st century--which, granted, we're not in right now--but if you're going to stick around for a while, you should at least learn how to not be afraid of them."

Sam stood up so he could see everyone and smiled around at the class. "Since this is our first week, I figured we could do the introduction thing like you've probably been doing everywhere else," he said. "So, names, when you're from, and how much computer experience you already have. Then, I'll show you how to set up a username and password for yourself, to use for the rest of the workshop."

Name, when you're from (since that mattered to Sam a bit more at the moment than where you're from), and how much computer experience you already have.

"I am Raven" -- Sam might know that, but some of the other students might not -- "and I am from roughly the same time as the island when it is in its usual place, though in Azarath we did not use technology or computers. I have been in Fandom for just over two years now, and I have learned to send emails and to search the world wide web for Rumor Gal spoilers."

What? It was a legitimate use for a computer.

Sam practically beamed at Raven, grateful to see a familiar face in class. "It's really good to see you," he said. "I'm glad you've been learning while you've been here, and I can have a feeling there's a lot more Rumor Gal stuff that you might learn how to find here." It would be a good corruption, really.

Raven nodded eagerly. "I would like to know more about how to use it to research important things," she agreed. Like her father and Brother Blood, which did rank just a tiny bit higher in priorities than Rumor Gal.

"I am James, and I am from another world that does not have electricity or these computers," he said.

"Welcome," Sam said with a smile. "I'm really glad you're here, 'cause I like seeing how people who are totally new to computers learn. I think you'll like the computer, but then, I'm kind of biased."

"I know most of the other students from worlds like these seem to like these computers," he said, nodding his head at the monitor. "I don't think I will take one home, but while I'm here..."

Sam went through step-by-step to show everyone how to make their own username and password for the computers.

Don't worry, he won't judge anyone for silly usernames. Making it unique and easy to remember was kind of the point!

Making the username was easy -- Raven, of course. Her password was just as simple, since she was just using her boyfriend's name. Girl had a little to learn about password security.

Someone should tell the squire about the joys of touch typing. It took him a few minutes to hunt-and-peck a username: squire. He typed 'finch' as the password with a bit of a grin, remembering the last time he'd used the password (it wasn't for a computer).
