Bond had informed his class that they should meet him in the Danger Shop this morning. When they arrived they found themselves standing at the top of a very long, very steep track with a small sled placed at the starting line.

"Good morning, and welcome to Winter Sports, which I trust will need very little explanation of the course material," Bond, who just happened to be wearing a bodysuit, helmet, and booties, began. "Today we'll be starting with luge. Now, luge is considered one of the most dangerous sports today, so even with the Danger Shop's safety protocols, you'll first be changing into the provided safety gear."

After the class had changed, he continued. "Now, I could give you a very long and detailed lecture on the history of luge, and the physics of it, but really, the point of the class is doing, so you'll be taking turns to go down the track one by one before we do introductions at the bottom of the track. Now if you'll watch me for the correct form."

With that, Bond sat on the sled and launched himself down the track.

Like it's a wee bit chilly.

Or just eye that very long, very steep course.

While you're waiting for your turn.

A new sled will only appear once the previous luger as cleared the track so there's no need to worry about collisions.

Thanks to the Danger Shop safety protocols if you do manage to crash you'll find yourself unharmed at the bottom of the track.

Once all the students made it to the bottom of the track Bond clapped his hands together.

"Now, introductions. Name, year, favourite winter sport if you have one. For example, James Bond, teacher, skiing."

He's very pleased with himself he is.

Caroline Forbes

Nobody Owens

The course was a little disconcerting, but Caroline figured she could handle it and if she broke anything, it would only hurt for a minute, right?

Bod slipped into his safety gear, fairly certain he was sticking out like a sore thumb while in it. If it kept him safe, he wouldn't complain. He'd been injured by books yesterday, after all.

When safety gear meant Caroline got to wear a sleek bodysuit, she was totally on board with it. The helmet she was just going to hold until it was really necessary to put on because come on, no smushing of the curls so early in the day!

Bod was just hoping he could take this slow. He didn't want to rocket down the track and end up plastered to the side of the course. Of course, once he got started, slowly went out the proverbial window because the luge had other ideas.

He managed to mostly keep his form though his legs kept wanting to fly up and he ended up spinning out halfway down the course. Thankfully, nothing was broken and he ended up at the bottom of the track when the spinning stopped.

"Hullo," Bod said, waving for no good reason. "I'm Nobody Owens, I'm soon to be a senior and my favorite winter sport is...well, I haven't really participated in many. Tubing, perhaps? I liked that when I tried it."

Bod was spending most of his wait walking around in the safety gear to try and get used to it. It was safe to say he'd never worn anything that tight before.

The screaming was to be expected, at least that's what Caroline told herself as she zipped through the course, trying to use what skills she had to not crash...at least until she totally flipped over on a turn and sat up at the end of the track. Boo.

Oh yes, first class of the semester and another totally hot professor. Caroline could totally live with this.

"Hi! I'm Caroline Forbes, though I think most of you already knew that. Regrettably I'm a junior, so that's a whole two years for me to fight it out and graduate with honors. Um, winter sports...does sitting in the lodge drinking cocoa while other people ski count? I was a cheerleader in my previous life, but that was more of a year-round sport."

Bond smiled. "Good to see you again, Nobody," he said. "You might enjoy some of the slower versions of sledding."

See how he was being a good teacher by not suggesting Bod try skeleton?

"It doesn't really count, I'm afraid," Bond said. "Welcome to the class, Caroline."

"Thank you, Mr. Bond," she said. "Um, that won't count against me, will it? I mean, grade-wise." Her transcript was kind of her pride and joy. "I'm very athletic, just more summer and fall athletic."

"Only if you sneak off to do it during class," he told her. "Which I do hope you won't."

"I probably would," Bod agreed with a nod. "I haven't been exposed to many types of winter sports but hopefully that changes and I don't crash too often while doing it."

"Oh, never!" There went that plan for the skiing class. "I mean, I might bring it to class, but I'd bring enough to share. Even fake skiing can get cold."

Lion-o

Lion-o couldn't wait to tackle the course. Sure, he had a little bit of fear, but the adrenaline rush overpowered the sense of fear.
