Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part III

In order to give people a place to get away from the traffic jam of the buffet and information tables, most of the chairs and tables for guests were set up further out on the lawn, under a tall blue and gold tent. There was plenty of room for everyone to sit down and enjoy themselves, but it might not have all been dry. Did we mention being grateful that it was just water falling from the sky?

Caroline joined him on the outskirts, wondering if he'd seen the posting or not. For once she wasn't going to complain about the smoking. "So, how are you rating this batch of newcomers?"

Of course Nathan had seen the posting. He wasn't gonna bring it up if she wasn't because...well, he had no good reason. He was just gonna be fucking stubborn. If she wanted to share the news, he'd pretend to be surprised and then he'd lie about turning her once former room into a brothel.

"There are new kids here?" Nathan asked, feigning surprise. "Honestly, I thought this was just another excuse to get girls out here in wet t-shirts so all us blokes could ogle and enjoy. Early Christmas presents so to speak. I've been really good this year too."

"Ah, is your camera at the ready? Something to help you treasure these moments long into the night?" Caroline asked, avoiding rolling her eyes.

"That's what porn is for. They get a lot more naked than I think any of these people are gonna get. And honestly, I want to see them get naked more than a lot of these people," Nathan quipped, smirking. He took a few more puffs of the cigarette before he tossed it away and shook his hand to disperse the smoke.

"I take it you have been prancing around and mixing it up with all the tiny children? Did you make any of them cry? That's my goal today. I want to make someone fucking cry."

"I don't prance," she said with a lift of her chin, "it wouldn't work in these shoes (http://lastlooksblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/lymelight-candice07.jpg). Though yes, I did meet one new girl. I even promised her we'd have a karaoke party. Doesn't that sound like fun? Get a bunch of people drunk in Caritas and then put them on stage? I mean, you've seen me do it, but you could come see it again!"

"Karaoke party?" Nathan repeated, raising an eyebrow at that. That raised eyebrow turned into comically wide eyes and fake, bright cheer. "Oh, tell me there's going to be a rousing game of pin the tail on the donkey's ass after that! And then we'll have cake and ice cream!"

"Yes! I was hoping you'd play the role of donkey for me!" Caroline grinned. "I am way too sober for this conversation, but here goes: did you happen to see the roommate board? Looks like I'm being sent downstairs. I'm guessing the squirrels are sick of talking about my current clothing reorganization process, but whatever."

"Yep, I saw." Nathan shrugged and reaching into his hoodie to try and get himself another cigarette. He didn't light it though. He just stuck it between his lips. "One, you need to stop wanting to stick things in my ass. It's just unhealthy. Two, the second floor fucking sucks but maybe you'll do wonders to change that. I don't know. I have my doubts. You are kind of a...weenie."

"A weenie?" Caroline repeated, unsure if she was supposed to be offended. "Are you trying to call me a loser but your language barrier is getting in the way? Because that's a really lame name coming from you."

"See, I was going for affectionate," Nathan decided, shrugging a shoulder. "Weenie sounds more affectionate than say cock or dick or prick or pecker. How are you not swooning and saying at the sound of the name weenie? Weeeeeeenie."

Nathan just kind of liked saying that word, to be honest. "You can be a weenie on the second floor but that means your weenie's not nearly as long as it once was. You've lost length points."

"Because it sounds like something you're supposed to call a sad dude living in Ohio," she informed him. "Not me. But I guess I can stand losing a could points, given how incredibly massive my weenie would have to be. We're probably well matched now. Oh God, you get me into the strangest conversations, Nathan."

"You would never have a massive weenie," Nathan decided, shaking his head and ignoring her statement about weird conversations. She fucking loved it and he knew it. It was entertaining. "You'd end up walking with a limp and your boots couldn't support the weight of a massive weenie. You'd never know what to do. You'd cry and wish for your massive weenie to be massively castrated so you would wear designer clothes."

"Please, this dress would not be hindered by a massive weenie," she informed him. "I'd be perfectly fine. Besides, I shouldn't let you insult my new second floor people this way. I need to have a little floor loyalty now."

"You don't even know anyone down there!" Nathan pointed out, rolling his eyes. "I bet I know more people down there. I bet I've slept with more people down there then you even know by first name!"

"Oh great, let me guess, Katie and the colored-hair girl live down there?" Caroline grimaced. "At least I'll have Bobby."

"Kate lives on the third floor, thank you very much. But yes, Ramona does make her place of residence on the second floor." Nathan reached out and lightly punched her arm. "Hey, maybe you guys'll end up besties! I bet you'd look swell with pink hair. In fact, I will fucking give you half my paycheck to do that."

"Dude, you screwed her at that Onsen place. No way am I becoming besties with public sex girl," Caroline scoffed. "Besides, I dyed my hair red once. It was so not attractive on me. I looked twelve, and not in a good way."

"Don't be jealous, you know you'd fuck someone in public if motivated enough," Nathan replied, rolling his eyes. "And if you've never had that sort of feeling well on up in you then man, I feel sorry for your. Your relationships must be boring as shit to not jump some bloke in public just because you want to keep up appearances. Live a little!"

Caroline smirked, thinking this was not a conversation he really wanted to have with her. "You don't have to feel sorry for me, Nathan. Let's leave it at that."

Please, Nathan was over it and not even thinking about potentially tricky conversations. "But, you won't do public sex because you're...what? Afraid Mother Forbes might pop down and find you necking in an alley?"

"Yes Nathan, call me a scared prude if it makes you feel better about getting it on in heated public pools, but don't bring my mother into it. Though really, I should just thank you now, because I was seriously worried about leaving you all alone in that room to like, choke to death on your own vomit when you passed out drunk, but you reminded me why I shouldn't feel bad at all." Oh wow, she was going to regret saying that later. "But now I need to pack, so I'm just gonna go." Which she turned to do.

"Are you fucking serious?" Nathan asked, staring at her. "Jesus Christ, I'm trying to have one of those conversations like we used to right now and you're getting all serious on me like I am working to try and offend you which I'm not, by the way. I'll fucking miss you and if you don't realize that well then, maybe you should walk right away right now. Jesus Christ."

He was an unlucky boy because she was a vampire and had super speed and there was nothing he could do to stop her from turning around and appearing inches from him in a split second, arms reaching to hug his scrawny self. And ha, she was taller than him in those six inch heels. "Why can't you ever just say the nice thing first? I'm going to miss you, you Irish ass."

"You know I never say the nice things first," Nathan pointed out, sounding a little surprised only because he hadn't expected a hug and had half thought she was about to tackle him to the ground. "Nice is boring. I am not a nice bloke. I leave that to the twats who wear their pants up to their chins and buy condoms in bulk just in case."

She was maybe going to have to flick his hear gently for that comment. "Nathan, you do not want demonic spawn running around calling you 'da' and expecting things from you when you're barely twenty. Buy condoms in bulk and carry them with you always. That's my advice to you since you refuse to say the nice things first."
