Care and Feeding of Hirelings, 2nd Period [Session 5]
Hook was smug, today. Not that he wasn't smug every day, but it was an extra smug day for him. Today the class met in a secluded spot of the preserve, with Hook looking rather jaunty without his luxurious coat.
"Today we ask the important question: When are you willing to sacrifice others for your own gain?" Hook said, smiling as he stood at the base of a tree.
"And now, instead of merely asking you when you'd sacrifice your underlings for your own gain, before you all get morally outraged at the thought, I have instead a practical activity."
He had three bins in front of him, which he now gestured at. One bin contained some fluffy pink tutus, one bin contained rainbow-colored clown wigs, and the final bin contained sets of Groucho Glasses.
"You are all to put on these glorious accessories, then pose for a picture," Hook said, holding up a digital camera from his pocket. "Which I will show to others. The only way you can get out of this is if you pull out those little phones and PDAs and the like, call a friend, get them out here, and have them dress like a fool in your place. Got it? Good."
He grinned a shark's grin. He was about to see who had dignity, and who was able to get others to sacrifice their dignity.
