Try Not to Die!! [Tuesday, May 31]

Anakin realized that he was teaching a class called "Try Not to Die" but this morning he wasn't feeling either the exclamation points or the need to put the students into even slightly dangerous situations.

Blame three days of watching the Hunger Games for that. He sent out handwavy messages for the students to meet him at the Danger Shop instead of on the causeway, and the environment that greeted the students was decidedly...chocolatey. The sun was shining brightly overhead, complete with the sorts of fluffy clouds you only found in movies or children's drawings.

"Welcome to my version of a land made of candy," he said. "Try not to get to distracted by how everything is edible--you still have several tasks to complete." With that, he gestured toward the clue box and stepped out of the way.

Richie had had enough candy for the time being, so making friends sounded good. And when the friends ended up being puppies, so much the better. It's hard to go wrong with puppies, after all.

They were all cute, so Richie pretty much randomly grabbed five of them and took them to the park. And from there it was easy enough to convince the NPCs to take them off his hands. He was charming and the puppies were adorable. It was a winning combination. Although he might have held on to the last puppy a little longer than was absolutely necessary. When he finally parted with it, he took off for the finish line.
