Outdoor Activities, Monday Period 1, Week 3

The weather this week should be more agreeable, and therefore workshop started on time, with Steve giving the students a few minutes to warm up and stretch before he peeped his whistle and they set off on their run.

"PEEP!"

The run was getting a little longer each week, not that Steve had told the students yet. They would build up some endurance or else, darn it.

Stretch, complain about the time, etc.

Mercy stretched out pretty thoroughly before heading out.

Stretching was important, and so of course Butters was going to take full advantage of the opportunity they had to do so before they set out to running. He seemed far too cheerful and chipper for this early in the day.

Run, then exercise. Hate Steve, or don't. He'd prefer 'don't.'

Sam was getting more and more used to these runs but this was a little different considering it was pouring outside. It wasn't hot though which was a plus. Stepping into puddles and stuff? That was a big minus. He was gonna be soaked by the end of this class.

The rain was more than a little frustrating, but Marshall was pleased that running through the week seemed to be paying off; he was finding it much easier to keep up, and he wasn't as winded when they finished the run.

The exercises? Still a bit of a struggle, but definitely better than they'd been.

It wasn't too bad to be running in the rain, though it would have been much nicer in her coyote form. Which she wasn't taking anymore.

Butters was wondering why he was a little more tired than usual after the run this time; maybe it had something to do with all those star sprinkles this weekend...

Billy was completely incapable of hating Steve, but it was possible he didn't like him quite as much at the moment.

If the students hadn't noticed that an area adjacent to their clearing had been arranged rather unusually--sopping with water, with brightly colored streamers, rather than barbed wire because Steve wasn't, despite what they might think, cruel, strung up just high enough for a crawling human to avoid them--well, they might now, when he said, "Allow me to direct your attention to the mud crawl," and pointed to it. "Your mission: do it. Any attempts to cleverly get around doing it properly will result in your doing it again." He waited a beat before adding, "And doing it right. You will be timed. Begin!" Peep!

Well, this would be fun. Sam figured the sooner he got it done, the sooner he could go back and shower so he dropped onto his stomach and started slithering through. These clothes were gonna need a good wash and he was pretty sure he was getting mud in his hair and mouth. Gross.

Ugh. Mud.

Marshall got down on his hands and knees and made his way through the mud crawl as quickly as he could. Yeah, that was definitely mud in his mouth.

He was going to need eighteen showers after this.

Once she'd accepted she was going to get filthy, it wasn't that bad, and Mercy quickly slithered through the mud crawl easily.

Drink water. Complain about how ruined your clothes are. Talk about how much you hate Steve.

Mercy did wish briefly that she was in coyote form and could 'accidentally' shake herself off all over Steve.

He's here. And not covered in mud.

Because he was a dick.

"Nothing at all happened this weekend, right?" Tony confirmed. Because no one wanted to be an overly dramatic alcoholic with scary hair.

"Do you have a memory gap?" Steve asked. He sounded kind of hopeful. It was really best if this Tony didn't know about that part of the other Tony's history. He wasn't sure what had made him behave like that, but it had been a walk down memory lane Steve would rather not have taken.

Tony gave that a moment's thought. "Yes. And am never growing facial hair."

"You don't have a memory gap," Steve concluded. His shoulders slumped a little. "I don't know what that was." Besides a blast from the past, which was actually exactly what it was.

"I'd really like to have a memory gap, if it helps," Tony replied.

Steve sighed and rubbed at his forehead. "I don't blame you." Hell, the other Tony probably didn't even remember it. Liquor did that.

"No alcohol," Tony confirmed. "Ever."

Because wow. Just wow.

"Good!" Steve said approvingly. "That's a good decision." He supported it wholeheartedly.

And then he turned into a turkey. What? "Gobble!" That was turkey for 'not again!'

"...um." WHAT THE HELL, ISLAND?

"Gobble gobble," said Steve helpfully.

Tony reached out to give him a hesitant poke. Just to make sure this was real. "Okay, that's new. I think I deserve a warning when people do this."

"Gobble gobble," Steve said, since he couldn't say 'stop poking me.' Then he tried to peck Tony's hand for the poking.

"HEY!" No need to bite people, Mr. Rogers! "Fine. You're real."

A beat.

"...you're not going to turn back, are you?"

"Gobble!" Steve certainly hoped he would. Although it didn't seem to be happening right now...

Well, that wasn't promising at all. "Do I have to feed you?"

Could a turkey give you a look like it thought you were smarter than this? Because if so, this turkey was totally doing that.

Yes. He totally had to feed him.

This is my new favorite icon.

Because of how heterosexual it is!
