Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

The weather was nice, the school wasn't currently under attack from forces not of this universe and they were still in Iceland. Oh yeah, it was day one of the rest of the newbies' lives.

Welcome to fandom, kiddos. Try not to trip over left over sombreros from Thursday!

It was hard to forget someone in pajamas.

Hmm. She probably should not have started out sounding put-upon back there. "Well, I'm sure that will be a very interesting experience," she said, being very careful of her word choice.

"I wouldn't know, I have never had to do it," she said, quickly and honestly. For some reason she was relieved to be an only child who hadn't been around to take care of the only baby she did in fact know.

Oh, sure, try that with her. It'd totally work, really. "I'm sorry, but I'm a teacher, not your assistant. Coffee-retrieving is not in my job description."

Then, a minute later, returned.

"That was harsh. I actually think the new haircut is nice."
