The weather was nice, the school wasn't currently under attack from forces not of this universe and they were still in Iceland. Oh yeah, it was day one of the rest of the newbies' lives.

"Goose?" Sam stared at the list. "I'm supposed to live with someone named Goose?"

She wondered if the judge had put the school up to this.

Goose had learned that he was supposed to be getting a new roommate so he came by to meet them.

When he heard his name, it didn't take him very long to find who he roommate was.

"Sam?" he was a bit hesitant.

Sam turned, looking Goose up and down. "You don't look anything like a goose."

Yes, and Guppy didn't look anything like a fish. She really should know better.

It actually wasn't the first time he had gotten that reaction to his name but it had been a while.

"It's a nickname," he explained, "because my last name is Gooseman,"

"Right," said Sam. "I can see that happening." A pause, then: "You're a guy."

She was just full of brilliant observations, today.

It was a mistake people occasionally made about her. They only ever made it once.
