The weather was nice, the school wasn't currently under attack from forces not of this universe and they were still in Iceland. Oh yeah, it was day one of the rest of the newbies' lives.

"Flew in from Wisconsin, so it was a little shorter than that," Dave said. He still considered that long, but he wasn't going to argue the point with the guy who flew twice the distance without complaining. "And, well, I made it here without any problems. So I'm pretty happy with how things turned out."

"Nice." Topher nodded. Huh. Suddenly the whole "flying from LA" thing seemed like a bigger deal. Wisconsin? Damn.

Dave had it covered. "Have you ever been at a school like this before? I mean, I've only ever lived with my parents, so sharing a room might take a couple days to get used to," Dave said.
