Library, Thursday [5/5]

Cassidy was relieved that everything seemed to be mostly as it should be in the library. She hadn't been sure what she might find with all of the other unusual things she had seen this week. (How did an entire island manage to change locations in the first place?)

This was one of the many questions she was searching books for the answers for today. Unfortunately her chosen books on island vacations, science and Vikings were unlikely to help her much with that.

"The emotions seem to be a little less... frantic now," she said with a small smile. "So the really intense ones are the only ones seeping through my shields and there are not as many now."

He smiled briefly. "Do me a favour, and try to talk to the first lost-looking newbie you see," Ender said. "Ben's dragging me off to his home for the weekend, so I won't be able to do it myself."

If there was any anticipatory sadness on Ender's side, she'd be kind not to mention it. This weekend was going to be the end of a lot of things.

She did see the sadness in his eyes, but she would never say anything unless he did first.
