Once all the graduates had returned to their seats, with their diplomas, Zoe turned to address the audience.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present --- ee da tuo da bien!”

No one should translate that. Just know that it wasn’t Chinese for ‘funky looking red and green spacecraft twice the size of the school that just zoomed in to hover above the lawn.’

A beam of eerie green light shining down from it, straight onto the stage, and from that pool of light stepped... no, surged, a horde of men in hairy, horny helmets, waving battle axes and growling in ...something Nordic? Eric could tell you, if he could make it to the stage, but unfortunately ? Not so much.

Those other beams of light that shot from the ship took care of that issue. Both the audience bleachers and the area of the stage roped off for the faculty were enclosed by shimmering fields of energy that let air and light through, but were frustratingly solid to the touch.

Sadly for the graduates, there was no annoying force-field separating them from the hairy-hatted men -- who were headed straight for the Fandom High Class of 2011.

"I feel like I've wasted a whole year of mocking opportunity," Rose commented, grinning at him as she wandered up. "Student Council President? Really?"

Please, it was Fandom. They'd get to the "Vikings" topic of conversation.

"Shut up," Alex said, making a face. "Is it my fault that people like me enough to vote me into the position?"

"It's more fun for me if I picture you campaigning for it," Rose pointed out. "I bet there were all these signs saying 'Alex for Student Council! He's your buddy!'"

"Has your existence been that empty that you've been fantasizing about me and my place as president?" Alex wondered, raising an eyebrow. "What, you secretly have a thing for guys in power?"

"I just learned about your place as president," she retorted. Weird how that eyebrow raise thing still bugged her. "So all fantasizing has been done within the past hour, and it's kind of a nice change of pace."

"From your normal fantasies?" Alex wondered, smirking. "And what are those, me and you in a hot air balloon or something? Kinky, Rose, kinky."

"My fantasies are way more interesting than a hot air balloon, thank you very much," Rose snorted. "But you don't get to know more since your role is non-existent."

"Then, why the hell did you just tease me?" Alex asked, tossing his cap at her. "Did you see what just happened? I had to give a speech!"

Also, vikings.

"I should be indulged."

Rose snagged the cap and put it on because why the hell not. "I'll buy you an ice cream cone," she teased. "You can get a double scoop."

"Hey, I'm not ten!"

But.

"But, I swear if you back out on the ice cream, I'll be pissed. How was my speech anyway? I made it up on the fly."

"You've got until tomorrow to claim my ice cream treat," Rose decided with a grin. "It had way less sex jokes than I would've expected. So, I mean, disappointing but actually pretty touching and accurate."

"Well, I took the high road," Alex said, shrugging. "There were parents and shit here. I didn't really want the principal putting me in a chokehold and dragging me off stage. Embarrassing."

"...but kind of hot," she pondered. "Thanks for the picture there."

"Are you sexually frustrated or something?" Alex had to wonder.

"Are you offering to help with it?" she had her own thought to wonder about.

"And if I am?" He wasn't, not really, but why admit that?

"I'm not doing shit in a hot air balloon," Rose warned, smirking a lot.

"Wuss," Alex equipped, smirking. "Lightweight."

"Please. Like you can't think of anything better than a hot air balloon?" Rose said. "Seriously, where's the fun? Lots of ropes, sure, but you pull wrong and the WHOLE BALLOON DEFLATES."

"And if you know how to work the thing, then you join the mile high club without the fear of a stewardess banging on the door while you're banging your sweetie," he retorted.

"One, been there, done that." Sorry for the TMI, Alex. "Two, the whole possibility of the stewardess catching you is kind of half the point."

"You really wanna be told to go back to your seat mid sex?" Alex asked, shaking his head. "That'd kind of ruin the mood for me."

"Or you just don't get caught," she said with a shrug.

"Didn't you just say that was half the fun?" Alex wondered, shaking his head. "You're just full of contradictions."

"I said the possibility was!" Rose protested. "And thank you, I completely agree. It's a charm of mine."
