Seated at his desk, Seimei tapped his fan on the table and waved toward the scroll containing the discussion question assigned on Tuesday.

"Also a reminder that I will be posting the discussion questions on Monday for our only class meeting of Thursday for next week. Come with your 'homework'," he paused on the awkward (for him) word, "ready to discuss then."

For the discussion question, Wednesday had written something out. She consulted it briefly before offering, "The Shang developed the first written language in China, and they had very advanced pottery - almost porcelain. They also had a very odd line of descent - eldest brother to youngest instead of father to son."
