There was a stack of papers on the front desk when the students came into the chemistry lab today, and, once they were all seated and settled, Kūkaku smacked a hand on the stack proudly and announced, "Pop freakin' quiz time, kiddies. We've been doin' a lot of experimental stuff in class, but you should also have been doing some readin' and everything, so now it's time to see if you've been retainin' some of the technical stuff along with the practical applications."

Because this was a high school class, dammit. And Kūkaku was feeling exceptionally lazy this morning.

"Koganehiko, Shiroganehiko, and Scarf Boy'll pass 'em on out to you. There are three sections: basic chemistry, atomic basics, and measurements and conversions. They really shouldn't take that long, but how ya do on these'll probably determine what kind of shit we'll be doing for the rest of the semester, so at least try to do good, yeah? Hand 'em in at the desk when yer finished, and then you can get out of here an' enjoy the rest of yer mornin'."

With that, she relinquished things to the minions to hand out the tests while she got comfortable with her feet up on the desk, ready to singe anyone who might think of cheating off their neighbour.

Really, if you know anything about chemistry and have been paying attention in class and doing your reading, it should be a cinch. Especially if you're a nerd like certain people in the class. Ahem.

No, Ender didn't have any problem with the test at all - he was done pretty quickly, turned it in, and spent the remaining time absorbed in his own thoughts from earlier that morning.

William was indeed one of the aforementioned nerds, and thus was done rather quickly.

Andros didn't have that much trouble with the quiz, he did know most of the material so it didn't take him that long to complete.

Scully finished hers, happily geeking away into the margins when she ran out of space, and using the back to write a couple formulas when she got distracted.

She doesn't really want to blow up City Hall. But it's nice to know how.

The quiz didn't take long for Joolushko, though she went back and double checked everything. Occasionally English proved to be confusing and she would hate to lose points on an examination because the way something was worded hadn't actually said what she thought it said.

Has to hand out the quiz, then take it, and have no face, the poor beleaguered fellow.

Really, now. Jonothon was so beleaguered. And kind of amused. 'Scarf Boy' was certainly not the worst nickname he'd ever picked up, after all.

He'd take it. And the quiz. Possibly even in that order.

Who is spending the time keeping an eye out for shenanigans and picking at the gunpowder beneath her fingernails with her thumbnail.

Just be glad she wasn't picking at the gunpowder beneath her toenails.
