Kappa Kappa Gremlin Meeting, After Classes, Monday [ 03/07 ].
In addition to the usual feast of junk food and highly caffeinated sodas, the brethren of Kappa Kappa Gremlin would find the usual meeting place filled with many other things. Various boxes filled with this and that and the other thing, all and sundries, with a whole lot of baskets, tissue paper, and, yes, even ribbons. (They were blue and yellow ribbons, though, entirely in the spirit of...er, well, school spirit, which made them quite suitable and not at all girly). And Alexander and Warren each held one of said baskets, already filled with a collection of items and decorated with the entirely manly addition of ribbons.
“You all might be wondering,” Alexander began, “what all these things and baskets might be for. Well, we were thinking that, as a kind and thoughtful gesture and a good bit of helping the community, we could put together gift baskets for the incoming guests for the approaching Parents’ Weekend this...er, weekend.”
There was, of course, an important pause.
“And, naturally, sanity baskets for ourselves and our fellow students.”
“Trust me,” Warren said, quirking a little smile, “they’ll appreciate it way more than our guests will.” He paused for a moment, to let that sink in, before pressing on.” When you’re putting together the baskets keep in mind that they’re not only going to be representative of Kappa Kappa Gremlin, but also of the entire school, so don’t go sticking in anything that might get your classmates in trouble with their family, okay?”
Alexander was not looking pointedly at Peter. Really! He wasn’t.
Okay, maybe he was. He cleared his throat a little. “But we’ve got a lot of different things to make the baskets unique and fun, everything from gift certificates for coffee and Squishies for our guests, to aspirins, tissues, earplugs for us.”
“Take a look through what we’ve got, and if there’s anything you think we could use to make the baskets better still, let me know,” Warren said. “I can make a run into town in no time to get whatever we need.”

Arrive & Mingle - KKG, 03/07.
Re: Arrive & Mingle - KKG, 03/07.
Whereas he was eyeing the baskets a little uncertainly. Didn't really seem entirely like his thing – though that didn't mean he wouldn't try anyway.
Re: Arrive & Mingle - KKG, 03/07.
He was a little skeptical of the gift basket thing, though.

He wondered if the students would appreciate a list of nasty sounding but harmless diseases they could pretend to come down with to stay in their rooms all weekend...

In fact, he had one right now. Don't anybody judge his fondness for cofee.

Just run for your life while your mother or father is poking through the selection of tiny bottles of jam.

Warren was an only child, but that didn't mean he was incapable of guessing at just how mortifying that could potentially be.
Re: Talk to the Guys - KKG, 03/07.
There was a slight pause, before Alexander cleared his throat a little. "Which reminds me...do you suppose we should include frames, should I need to grace anyone else with my autograph?"
Come on. He had to!

And then that second part came out, and it was a miracle that Warren had managed a gaping mouth and a few incoherent syllables. It took him a moment to get words together, again.
"If your sister finds out about that, I should be safe, right?"
Hey, it was better than squeaking some more.

Rosella was a special girl, yes...
Re: Talk to the Guys - KKG, 03/07.
A brilliant plan, right?

No offense, Jono.
"Please tell me at least your toenails aren't still pink."
Re: Talk to the Guys - KKG, 03/07.
Apparently he'd had fun experimenting with colors that day. And he didn't go barefoot often enough to warrant bothering with nail polish remover, so...
