Classrooms Around Campus, All Day Saturday

It was Saturday, and that meant Career Day! Unbeknownst to all the students who had taken the career placement test, Fandom had apparently conspired to place them all in workshops that didn't quite fit the answers they gave for their tests. The island was tricky that way. Not to mention that the workshops that the island had planned were somewhat different from the workshops an ordinary school might offer on Career Day. As in quite a lot different.

So the classrooms all around the school were filled with visitors from off-island and island alike, all of whom had been led to believe that they would be teaching eager-minded groups of students, excited to learn about their prospective care
ers. This assumption was not necessarily accurate.

"Sheeeah, like fun you're not!" Hank countered. "It's right there in the name! 'Guild of...' ...Well, it might as well be!!!!"

One of these days, he'd get bored and look up 'calamitous' in the dictionary, and then she'd be sorry.

"Your father probably said we were evil," Sheila said. "You should find out for yourself."

Clearly, if Hank hated his dad, then his dad was wrong about the Guild. It totally made sense.

"You should at least take some literature," she said, nodding to the brochures.

The brochures probably had words in them, though. Words to read. "Do any of them have pictures?" he asked. "Or do you have any promotional videos?"

"I could scrounge up some videos," Sheila decided. "And here, this pamphlet has some really big pictures in it."

She was hoping Hank could read. If not, she'd just lie to him about what the brochures said.

Hank took the pamphlet, screwed up his face in concentration, and started reading.

Reading was HARD, when it wasn't about Ratman.
