Classrooms Around Campus, All Day Saturday

It was Saturday, and that meant Career Day! Unbeknownst to all the students who had taken the career placement test, Fandom had apparently conspired to place them all in workshops that didn't quite fit the answers they gave for their tests. The island was tricky that way. Not to mention that the workshops that the island had planned were somewhat different from the workshops an ordinary school might offer on Career Day. As in quite a lot different.

So the classrooms all around the school were filled with visitors from off-island and island alike, all of whom had been led to believe that they would be teaching eager-minded groups of students, excited to learn about their prospective care
ers. This assumption was not necessarily accurate.

"I work for a group called A.I.M. We're a scientific think tank and we've had our eye on you for some time."

CREEPER.

"...really?"

And bait taken. Score.

"Your father was a great man," Basil replied. "But we at A.I.M. are aware that you were beyond the majority of Stark International's work. Just as we're aware that you can't take over Stark International until you are eighteen."

Reel that fishie on in, Basil. Reel him in.

"You don't belong in high school. You can't be challenged here. A.I.M. can give you staff, labs, resources... anything you want."

That all sounded a bit too good to be true to Tony. But he couldn't say no to the siren song that was science.

"Just out of, you know, curiosity... wait is A.I.M. working on?"

Basil smiled, reaching into his suit pocket to pull out a tablet. He clicked it on before handing it over to Tony. "Tell me what you see."

Resist, Tony! Resist!

...or fold like a poorly constructed card house as you looked over the data. "Human-machine interface." Whoa, he hadn't even started on that for the suit.

"Very good, Mr. Stark," he replied. "A.I.M. is on the verge of a break through in allowing the human mind control machines."

Or you know. Him to control minds. To-may-to, to-mah-to.

"We have the biology down, we need the mechanics. We need your help."

STOP LURING HIM WITH SCIENCE. THIS WASN'T FAIR.

"I--don't know," Tony replied slowly.

There was no escape, Tony! None!

Basil lifted up his briefcase, opening it to show Tony. "Before you decide, look over these. They're controller discs."

And weren't evil at all.

"If you can make these work, you'll change the world, Tony. Think about it," he said, closing the case and offering it to Tony. "My contact information is inside."
