Classrooms Around Campus, All Day Saturday

It was Saturday, and that meant Career Day! Unbeknownst to all the students who had taken the career placement test, Fandom had apparently conspired to place them all in workshops that didn't quite fit the answers they gave for their tests. The island was tricky that way. Not to mention that the workshops that the island had planned were somewhat different from the workshops an ordinary school might offer on Career Day. As in quite a lot different.

So the classrooms all around the school were filled with visitors from off-island and island alike, all of whom had been led to believe that they would be teaching eager-minded groups of students, excited to learn about their prospective careers. This assumption was not necessarily accurate.

"Jeremy Darling," she rumbled, looking over the list. "Is that your real name? You could really do a lot with a name like 'Darling,' but you'd have to tread carefully to avoid cliche. Here you are, Jeremy Darling."

She smiled at him. "Are you sure you're not interested in costumed villainy?"

For a few seconds or so, Jeremy looke intrigued. "What are the costumes --?" he started, then caught what he was saying and shook his head. "No, uh, no thanks. I don't think villainy sounds like the right thing for me."

Infamy? Sure, but not villainy.

"I'm not sure why there are costumes," Sheila said, misunderstanding his question. "Sometimes, you just feel the need to put on a coordinated outfit and call yourself Queen Etherea."

He would probably appreciate it more if he had ever seen the Queen Etherea (http://www.venturefans.org/wiki/images/b/b9/QE.jpg) costume. What little there was of it.

Well, he would've been distracted. But then, granted, it was not hard to distract him in general.

Case in point: "I... can't say I've ever felt like doing that."
