Adventures, Capers and Escapes - Danger Shop, Thursday, Period 3

The Danger Shop looked like a science museum today. There were large dinosaur skeletons in the atrium and various exhibits on the ground and top levels about different sciencey things. The museum had a cafeteria and a gift shop and a kitchen out back.

No one seemed to be around to staff the museum. There were no other visitors. It was all a bit eerie really.

The Doctor came running out of one of the rooms out the back and skidded to a halt on the shiny, polished floor. "Velociraptors," he said. "Not your friends. Also they hunt in packs. Why are you still here?" He ran off, bounding up the stairs and out of sight as quickly as he'd come.

Hmm. Velociraptors. He couldn't be serious, could he?

But there was a strange trilling call coming from the direction the Doctor had come from. Now that was a bit odd.

Since the Doctor had helpfully pointed out out they weren't their friends, Cara assumed that meant she was allowed to kill the raptors, whatever they were.

So she started looking around for a weapon.

Claudia was somewhat torn between running for her life and actually getting to look at dinosaurs.

Ariel wanted to run, but...she wanted a look at what these creatures looked like with their skin on, too, so she was a little bit torn. She'd hang around, wait until she could get a peek, and then she'd run...that would be a perfect plan, wouldn't it?

Alex was tempted to run right off the bat but part of her wanted to stay put. When would she ever get to see dinosaurs in person again? Still, she pulled out her wand, just in case.

Not that she expected magic to do much against dinosaurs.

"Raptors!?!?!" Hank gasped.

He'd dealt with raptors before, of course. "The Lost World"-style valleys full of dinosaurs were pretty much a staple of boy adventuring. Cliche, really. And super-DUPER dangerous.

"SUPER RUNAWAY!!!!"

He dashed after the Doctor at top speed, with his arms held straight out in front of him.

Robin quickly hopped up onto the top of one of the taller objects in the room. Hopefully they wouldn't be able to reach him up here.

Helen sighed. She really wasn't in the mood for this. Still, if they were alive she could probably make them go away and leave her alone. If not she'd join in the fleeing.
