"Hey, guys," Ben said with a little smile. "Today I thought we could work on the visual side of the AV club."

He gestured to a small array of cameras arrayed on the table in front of him. "These are called point and shoot cameras, which basically means you won't be able to take fuzzy, awful photos unless you are really trying," Ben summarized before launching into a much more technical explanation of the way the cameras worked.

"Give them a try now and then have fun with them this week. There's enough weirdness around here that I thought we could all take pictures and then show them off next week. If you manage to capture a shot of the gremlins or the radio squirrels, I'll buy you ice cream."

Ben had not yet met Ramona.

"No, it's actually brown. But she dyes it all the time and wouldn't tell me what it actually was."

Which made it all better.

"Oh," Ben said, looking thoughtful. "And then you asked her out?"

Ben, stop being a little creepily focused on Tony's social life.

Just because Tony was warm for your form one time...

"...no. Should I?"

"Maybe?" Ben said, shrugging. "I don't know, but it seemed like there might have been a chance in there for...that. I've been dating the same girl since I was a freshman."

"Huh." Tony frowned. "It couldn't be any worse than those three minute ones, right?"

"It depends," Ben said. "Who'd you get in the three minute ones?"

"Some girl named Jessica--" Somewhere, Steve Rogers was hitting his head on a wall. "Ramona, a couple random guys..."

Awkward.

"I think they messed up the pairs there."

"Sounds like it," Ben agreed with a smile. "Sometimes around here they like to give you other options."

This from the guy who'd never done a three-minute date.

Tony was beginning to notice that. "So, how'd you ask your girlfriend out then?"

Look, he was of the opinion that playing video games together worked as a date.

"Well, I know a version of her at home, so there was a bit of cheating," Ben admitted. "I asked her to homecoming as friends and things just kind of went from there."

Months and months later.

"I talked to Ramona at homecoming," Tony offered. "And danced with Stephanie."

Poorly.

"It took us three years to actually dance at a dance," Ben said with a laugh.

"She did the dancing really," Tony admitted. "Kept saying it was sad to text during the dance."

PFF.

"You were texting while you danced?" Ben gaped.

"Not while dancing!" A beat. "Before."

"To who?" Ben wondered.

"~~Idk my bff~~ Rhodey. He's a friend from home." Not weird at all. "He's actually been to a dance, so I needed advice."

And an excuse to avoid socializing.

"Don't drink the punch after about 9:30," Ben told him. "What did Rhodey say?"

"To stop bothering him and have a social life." Wait a minute. "Why not?"

"It's spiked then," Ben added helpfully.

"...yeah, I'll avoid it."

DAMN YOU, DEMON IN A BOTTLE.

"It took me a few dances to figure it out," Ben said with a rueful smile.

Tony snorted at that. "See, my plan to text the whole time had merit."

"You could still have texted," Ben said, "but I can't guarantee Rhodey would've understood a word of it."
