*Angelus will be taking his final exam, assuming he shows up.*

*If any students need assistance, Sara is seated at her desk, grading their field trip reports.*

Maia comes in and takes the quiz paper to her desk. She sits with it for a few minutes then starts to write carefully, scratching out and starting again. She does this several times finally erasing a hole into the paper she then walks back up to Sara's desk. "Could I have another one?"

Maia smiles blushing a bit and goes back to her seat. She chews the end of her pencil for a few moments staring off into space, she smiles and then writes in the answers.

She hands it in blushing again "Um, about the report on the body farm, I'm sort of hazy on some of it and for everything in my I don't remember where my biology notebook is. Can I write on what I do remember?" Maia chews her lip nervously embarrassed to not remember where her things are.

Maia smiles relieved "Thank you. I'll get started on it." She smiled sadly "Lots of free time now, got fired. You know for not going into work." Maia shrugs and walks to the door.

John catches up to her as she leaves. "Hey. Nice tan."

Maia turns and laughs "Thank you, got rid of that pesky pole to" She smiles "How are you today?"

"I'm doin' better. De-ticked, which is a wonderful feeling. So how'd you do on the test?"

Maia glances at his shoulder. "I am glad you got that taken care of. Oh I did well actually, which was surprising, burned a hole in the paper erasing so much the first time around. How did you do on it?"

John sighed. "NOt too bad. I know I messed up on the multiple guess a few times, but overall, I think I passed. It's good to see you out and about. Oh, and I think I muffed the bodyfarm paper."

Maia smiles "I have not done mine yet, she gave me until next week to do it. I can't find my notes that I took." Maia cocked her head "Things are still a little fuzzy you know, but Sar- Ms. Sidle said I could research it in the library to fill in the missing places." Maia laughed "I remember throwing up thats about it. How did you muff the paper?"

"Arrrgh, just too busy wondering if they were at peace to take many notes. Pretty sure that I mixed up a few bodies. I hope you find something in the library, because I'd hate to make a return trip to doublecheck my notes, y'know?"

Maia shivered "Oh no I don't think I ever want to go back there." She looks at John for a moment "At peace?"

"Yeah. Not real religious, y'know, but.. it just seemed like they were disturbed. I know I'd be, left out like that. Just had to find my center or whatever. I dunno. I'm just babbling."

Maia smiled "Oh no your not at all." Maia slightly blushed. "I had a friend tell me she wanted to be at a body farm after she died and it just creeped me out. I didn't like it. I'd rather have a grave to go visit and know she is not out there wasting in the elements you know. So no your not babbling at all. You make perfect sense."

"Not that I want to visit a graveyard, but they're serene. Dignified. I mean, I understand the purpose of the body farm, and I'm all for it, but I'm all for it at a distance that doesn't involve me being in the middle of it. I'm not ready for that yet. And I'm glad I make sense. It helps."

Maia thinks for a moment. "Yeah they are dignified. My parents graves are nice, the area sort of went down hill for a while but my friend Shawn had them clean it up and make it a nice place again so I was happy about that." Maia looks down for a moment. "I don't think I want to visit the farm again. Felt like it took ages to get the lemon smell off me." Maia smiled. "Distance is good. I think I'll opt for the research paper next time."

Angelus showed up, right on time. He had his bookbag over one shoulder and a cup of coffee (cream, two sugars) in his right hand. "Hey, teach. Ready whenever you are. Oh, and here - " he handed her a copy of the drop form she'd signed on Tuesday " - I'm supposed to give you a copy of that."

*As far as final exams go, it isn't as brutal as she was tempted to make it. But it is by no means easy.*

Angelus takes his time with the test. If Prof. Sidle looks over at him she'll occasionally see him closing his eyes and frowning with concentration before putting answers down.

He takes longer with the essays. His bluebook is filled on each page, front to back, with neat handwriting that sprawls across the page.

The exam, when he turns it in, reflects someone who has a good ability to parrot things back from lectures, diagrams, or the text, and who attempts to wriggle his way through the rest.

[ooc: However you want to grade it based on that description is up to you. For instance, if the multiple choice required nothing but memorization he'd ace it. However if it had trick questions he might not go higher than 70/80% for that section. Definitions he'd ace. Matching would be same as multiple choice. Essays would be ye olde classic "The manifest destiny was a destiny that manifested itself in a destined manner" sort of BS to help fill the minimum word count while occasionally sneaking in actual details that may or may not be relevant. ;)

Hank signs in and takes a copy of the quiz. When he finishes, he puts it on Sara's along with a 2 page paper briefly descriving about 3 of bodies he had encountered during his "trip" and how he had used rudimentary forensic examination (visual examination of undisturbed scene, no autopsy, minimal contact with the bodies) to determine the cause of death and approximate age of the corpse.
