AV Club [after classes]

In addition to the coffee, soda, and various flavors of ice cream that Ben had provided for the first meeting of the AV Club, Ben had also hauled in some of the many bits of half-completed technology that lived under his bed. Given the sort of people he expected to attract to his club, he thought they might enjoy poking at his astromech droid and holoprojector.

"Hi everyone," he said with a quick smile as they finished arriving. "I'm Ben Skywalker. I'm a junior and work over at Fixer-Uppers--you know, the store in town with the sign?" --Ben meant the really bright sign--"and this is the AV Club. Since today's our first meeting and I'm kind of unoriginal, I figured we can start with introductions. Let's get your name, your age, and...a story about the most astral thing you ever tried to build."

That way he could get a handle on the level of technology people were used to working with, too! He felt quite brilliant. "Let's start with you," he said, pointing.

"My name is William Murdoch," Will introduced himself. "I'm a freshman, and in a completely strange coincidence, I also work at the store in town. I'm afraid I haven't much in the way of exciting stories, since most of my experience with electronics has been since arriving here and even then only the most basic of repair works- but I have been working on some plans to recreate or at least mimic devices found in this time with materials commonplace to my own."

Ben chuckled. "I think this club meeting might turn into a staff meeting," he teased, "and it's totally astral to try to remake stuff using just what you have on hand. What are you thinking of trying to replicate first?"

"Tony Stark," Tony said, slumping back in his seat. "I'm sixteen and I don't know what would be the best thing I've made. Maybe the computer systems the--my company uses."

And wasn't sharing the suit. NUH-UH.

Kūkaku still wasn't sure what she was doing looking over a whole bunch of tech nerds, but at least no one would have to worry about them blowing off any limbs, of that she could be sure of.
