Library, Wednesday(1/26)
When Gabrielle had left her room this morning to head out to the library for her shift, she'd found a box wrapped in purple paper with yellow question marks all over it sitting just outside her door.
Now, you'd think a mystery gift like this ought to be treated with a little more suspicion, especially in Fandom, but Gabrielle was nothing if not a trusting sort and had -- assuming it was for her -- opened it on the spot. When the resultant cloud of multicolored sparkles had cleared she'd found herself in possession of a life-sized plushie chicken. That made no sense whatsoever, and she'd hardly been hurting for the loss of a life-sized plushie chicken in her life, but she wasn't one to look random gift poultry in the . . . er . . . beak.
Which was why said chicken, which she'd summarily named Solari (and the Amazon weaponsmaster would give her such a look if she knew she had a toy avian namesake), was perched on the desk near Gabrielle's elbow as she continued her reading through the Tao Te Ching. Gabrielle might argue that it was an appropriate name for the plush chicken; someone had to guard the desk while she was off shelving or taking care of other tasks.
The chicken, at least today, couldn't argue back.
[[. . . I TOTALLY KNOW WHAT DAY IT IS SHUT UP.]]
