Band Practice - Thursday afternoon

Okay dudes. Most people seem to want to keep trying to recruit people. We'll try for one more week. Lindsey and Paige - if we don't get any more people joining this week you dudes can either have a band of two or you can join one of the other bands.

It's midterm time and I don't think our progress is going too good.

This Week's Task: Decide on a song to play. If you don't decide on a song to play by next week's class, I'll choose for you. It's probably gonna be either Van Halen or.. well, Van Halen. So if you want something else, make a decision this week.

If you decide early on, start practicing together. I can arrange sheet music if you dudes want that. Next week I'll work with one of the groups and my most excellent friends Bill and Rufus will stop by for the class and work with the other two groups.

Don't know about the rest of the group, but the brother? Is over to the side there, playing something a bit repetitive and not anything they'd been considering for class.

Sonia tentatively approaches Murphy, and sits down across from him, watching him play. She waits til he finishs to speak.

"I listened to the tape you gave me- I like it a lot, by the vay- and I vas able to transpose some of the parts." She holds out a small pack of manuscript paper. "Can't do guitar tabs, though, sorry."

Bit of a grin as he takes the papers. "I can take care of that, 's no problem," he says while waving to Callisto.

She smiles and nods, then begins unpacking her violin for practice. As she works on tightening and rosining the bow, she looks back over to Murphy.

"What vos that you vere just playing?"

"Just somethin' I'd heard a while back." He shrugs. "Not all that fancy a tune, but sometimes 's what ya want to go with."

Paige has had various changes of mind since suggesting In Your Room by Depeche Mode, Love Will Tear Us Apart had seemed a good option for a while, however she's in a weirdly good mood today (ah the wonders of sleep) and is back on the Depeche Mode idea.
