Club Fair - Gym - Friday

For a second time since he'd been at this school, Blackagar somehow managed to stumble upon the club fair as it was being set up. Had he been more genre savvy, he might have made a comment about it.

But that was not the case, so he was just going to take a seat and enjoy watching people and their clubs.

And, oh look! A club schedule!

Considering this was Peter of the Wrestling, Alexander was almost afraid to ask, but curiosity won out.

"It's a joke," Peter said. "Honestly, about the only thing you'd actually get from a Maxim poster is all the girls signing up for the sorority coming over here to be very angry about the exploitation of women. Which is not funny, the joke is that we really shouldn't be putting that sort of thing out as part of the group's image. Just so we're clear."

Because Alexander sadly didn't seem to get Peter's humor, so he was trying to be less clever about it.

"I...don't even know what we're talking about to be clear about it," Alexander said carefully.

Because Peter sadly didn't seem to get that Alexander had no idea what most of his references were when he tried to be clever.

Peter snapped his fingers. "Right, sorry. Terrible so-called Men's magazine. Prominently featuring women wearing just enough clothing that it's not considered pornography. Pretty much glossy toilet paper, if you ask me."

"Ah," said Alexander, nodding, "a bit like some of those films that don't seem much good for anything except special effects and interesting but impractical interpretations of armor..."

"Exactly. Except even less redeeming qualities," Peter said. "On a related note, we're going to plan some sort of ridiculous rivalry with the sorority this semester, I hope?"

"Do you suppose we should?" asked Alexander, tilting his head curiously. "What sort of rivalry? Or rather, how would such a rivalry come to play? I understand sibling rivalry, having a sister myself, but I'm not sure how that would translate exactly to clubs..."

"I honestly have no idea," Peter said. "But we could always keep it friendly. Compete in contests to fundraise for the school or charities, that sort of thing."

"I do sort of like the idea of a little friendly competition to encourage both groups to prosper more," Alexander mused. "Perhaps Zack and I shall have to go speak with Quinn and Emma about it..."
