Getting Out of Tight Situations- Period 5- Class #3

Once again they were in the Danger Shop today, where they'd find themselves in what looked like a clearing in a jungle, which meant the temperature here was more humid than it was in Fandom. To the students' left was a wrecked ship, still smoking in parts and clearly unflyable.

"Hi, everyone," Jaina began. "Today I'm just going to throw you right into it. This, as you've probably figured out thanks to seeing it, is a jungle. That right there is your crashed ship. You don't know exactly where you are or whether there are any creatures or dangerous animals in the vicinity, and while help is coming for you by air, you don't know if it's going to take an hour or a day. You're going to find someone to pair up with, and decide how you're going to wait out the time you have. That's all I'm giving you, the rest is all up to you."

Well, this was going to be interesting, at least. Ender had rolled up his sleeves upon entry as the humidity struck him. Now he was listening, and thinking.

Dru felt like she'd seen this movie. As she waited for a partner, her eyes searched around, taking note of her surroundings.

Wonderful. Trees everywhere, and the ship did not appear to be seaworthy, or indeed a seafaring vessel.

He grabbed a suitable stick and started poking around the wreckage to see what was salvageable in terms of food, shelter, and weapons, waiting for a partner to join in.

Ben grimaced a bit to himself as he glanced around. With his luck, there were probably Skywalker-eating creatures hanging just out of sight, too.

WItha partner, decide what you're going to do. Inside the ship are food ration bars, a canteen and a medkit, and if you choose to find shelter you can either try to make one, or you can go in search of a cave.

Bruce climbed a tree.

This way he had some shelter (with the leaves), sight lines, and a quick escape from any predators who might make their way to him. Okay, that escape was straight down and had the potential for significant injury, but he was confident he could avoid that.

And, okay, he didn't have a partner. But from this vantage point, he was more or less everyone's partner.
