A/V - Theatre Tech Club Meeting, School Theatre, 5pm

On the stage, arrayed on a makeshift table constructed from an ancient flat and a pair of sawhorses, there are a variety of foods: carafes of coffee, cocoa and mulled cider, bowls of crisp local apples, platters of cookies, brownies and rice crispy treats, and, scattered among them, an assortment of candies in wrappers - chocolates and toffees and gummies and lollipops. Scooter sits in a bright orange bar-stool height director's chair, flipping through a catalog, waiting for people to show up.

"You do. And it's freshly-pressed and local, so it counts as really good cider, even." Scooter grins at his visitor, glad that somebody has stopped by, even if they're only there as a fellow cider-afficianado. "Oh, and I'm Scooter. I don't think we've met before . . . though, weren't you one of the group leaders for the treasure hunting field trip?"

"Aye, I be on the treasure hunt as well. I be Barbossa, terror o' the air waves." He stuck out a slightly grubby hand.

Scooter takes Barbossa's hand and shakes it, surprisingly firmly for a being made of felt and yarn. "Oh, you're the guy who does the late-night radio show most nights, right?"

Barbossa nodded. "That be me." He looked around the theater. "Figgered I could offer me services t'anyone who be lookin' fer sound help."

"Well, I'm not sure what there will be to help with sound for, actually. Though probably at least something for the music classes. I'm glad to see someone taking an interest, though." Scooter's smile is wide and open and he looks really excited by this prospect.

Barbossa smiled and grabbed another mug of cider. "I be in the music appreciation class, but I be hearin' that the band be havin' a concert towards the end o' the semester."

"We can make that a club project, then - sound design for the end-of-term band concert." Scooter is pleased to actually have something that he can announce that the club is doing.
