Library, Friday [1/7]

Ah, books. Wesley had missed being around this many books. He had also missed organizing things. The phone on the desk kept ringing, too, which was weird and annoying, but he ignored it in favor of organizing some books. And occasionally answering the phone, but whenever he did, he got the sense that the calls were not meant for the library, so. Organizing.

Phone crises, yay!

"Welcome back," Henry said, frowning at the phone. ".... why does it keep doing that?"

Henry, it's called ringing.

Tiredly, Wesley looked up from his riveting task of sorting books. "I've no idea," he said wearily. "Whenever I answer, it's someone thinking he's breaking up with his girlfriend, or some such madness."

"Poor guy and poor girlfriend," Henry shrugged. "You can turn it off and just screen messages if you want. It's a Friday and the first week of the term. I doubt there are library crises going on."

Wesley nodded, and immediately moved to disconnect the phone. For a moment he half-expected for it to continue ringing, as in a horror movie, but fortunately it stopped.

"Much better," he said, visibly relieved.

"And now my week is complete," Henry said. "I think everything should be about the same as it was when you left. Have you noticed anything you need to ask about?"

Wes shrugged, still faintly disoriented from the way his ears were still ringing. Crazy phones = massive headache. Good to know.

"I think I'm all right for now," he said pleasantly. "But thank you."
