There was a plate of chocolate chip and sugar cookies (possibly he'd gone a litle overboard with the baking) on the edge of Steve's desk. "I've certainly enjoyed having you as a group this semester," Steve said, "and so the time has come for us to say goodbye. For your final exam, I thought we'd keep it simple. Tell me one thing you learned this semester--not a fact, but a concept--and you can go. That's it. And feel free to help yourself to the cookies."
