Biology

Today in Biology, we will be reviewing the syllabus and going over introductory material. If you have not acquired the textbooks, I strongly suggest that you do so.

Like Geology and Physics, the experiments and projects we will be doing require that you have a lab partner. Feel free to pair up with a friend or a stranger, whatever floats your boat.

Please don't forget to sign the roll sheet before you leave.

And while I am thinking about it, I would like you each to turn in a list of your known phobias. I'm not as sadistic as some of my college professors and I won't set out to deliberately humiliate you.

*signs roll sheet, and sits close to the front of the class, arranging his books and pens neatly on the desk in front of him*

*smiles back* Good morning, Miss.

You got an extra pen, dude?

Mine's out of ink.

[identity profile] big-brother-tam.livejournal.com 2005-09-08 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
*smiles and hands Hurley a spare pen* Have you, er, got a lab partner yet?

[identity profile] thehurleyabides.livejournal.com 2005-09-08 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)
No, dude!

Let's partner. I'm afraid I'll suck at biology and I need all the help I can get.

Oh, it'll all make sense. The wonderful thing about biology is that you can see exactly what you're learning about. Physics and chemistry are often purely theoretical, but with biology, you always get to cut things up to see how they work. *smiles happily*

[identity profile] big-brother-tam.livejournal.com 2005-09-08 02:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, er, okay. *looks nervous*

*to Hurley* I'm sorry.

[identity profile] thehurleyabides.livejournal.com 2005-09-08 02:33 pm (UTC)(link)
No worries, Simon. Thanks for offering man.

If I come whining to your dorm door for help, don't laugh at me.

Any time. *sighs and turns to face Jayne*

[identity profile] jayne-serenity.livejournal.com 2005-09-08 02:39 pm (UTC)(link)
*grins, then takes a long drink from the coffee cup he brought in for himself*

[identity profile] big-brother-tam.livejournal.com 2005-09-08 02:45 pm (UTC)(link)
So, uh. "Jayne", is it? *smirks a tiny bit* Is that a family name?

[identity profile] jayne-serenity.livejournal.com 2005-09-08 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah.. whatever rich boy
Just get me through this class and I wont use your intestines as suspenders.

[identity profile] thehurleyabides.livejournal.com 2005-09-08 02:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, that's cool.

Maybe someone else will partner with me.

[identity profile] thehurleyabides.livejournal.com 2005-09-08 02:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Best not to insult a big boy, Mister I Can't Handle My Alcohol.

All it would take is one Giant Hurley Splash and you'd be a pancake.

[identity profile] thehurleyabides.livejournal.com 2005-09-08 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Not much of a drinker, Jayne.

By the way, ain't Jayne a girl's name?

[identity profile] jayne-serenity.livejournal.com 2005-09-09 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
Jayne aint a girl... or do I gotta prove it to ya, dough boy?
