Cultural Appreciation, Week XV [Wednesday, Periods 4 & 5]

Class met today in the Danger Shop, were Ghanima had called up couches and fluffy chairs for people, with piles upon piles of blankets and pillows. Some of them, she presumed, would enjoy the chance to warm up after the walk from the dorms.

"Last class of the term," she said, looking them all over. "We aren't going anywhere today, since I'm sure many of you have finals to study for. Instead, we're just going to talk."

"I'd like each of you to take a turn and tell me what your favorite trip has been this semester, and why. It doesn't have to be a deep or soul-searching reason, it can be as simple as having fun. I'd also like to hear which place you found the most educational, if they aren't one and the same."

Jack was still sick, so he sat on his own so as not to cough on anyone.

Which adventure did you like best? What did you like the least? What did you find the most educational? Ghanima wants to hear your unprepared (and honest) evaluation of this semester's adventures.

Feel free to chat with each other about the class, or ask questions, but Ghanima will frown at you if you get too off-topic.

"I enjoyed all the trips, but I think I liked the Adler Planetarium the most," Raven said. "Some of the exhibits reminded me of the netherverse, and of home."

"I think my favorite was Ellis island," Christian answered. "I liked the spirit of the immigrants, and it was beautiful."

It was hard for Robin to choose, but finally he went with;

"Stomp. Partly because it was on broadway, and partly because of all the unusual instruments."

"I really loved the Jazz Museum," Helen said. "All of that incredible music... I think Ellis Island perhaps was the most educational, but truly, I think I learned from all of them."

It took Cassidy a long moment to respond when it was her turn.

"I can't pick just one," she finally admitted. "There was something to learn from each place we visited."

Once she arrives.

Raven was there and sad the semester was ending, since she'd enjoyed the class.

She's around, before and after class.

Now taking suggestions for what Ghanima should teach next semester!

Cultural Appreciation part two? Surely there are more places we could visit! ;)

Peter's exam answers will sadly be handwaved as I try to concentrate on this bloody paper.
