Boom-De-Yada Science - Danger Shop, Wednesday, Period 1 [Week 13]

The Danger Shop was set up like an old cinema. There were 3D specs for everyone to wear to watch the film that was playing. The general premise was that a giant squid was attacking a small coastal town, similar to Mandibles but with more tentacles. The cinema employee may have been holographic, but the popcorn and drinks he was selling were from the real world.

Before the movie started, the Doctor's face appeared on the screen. He adjusted the camera and then stood back. "Hello! If you're watching this, I'm unable to make it to class. As your adult supervision for this hour, I'm obligated to provide you with something to do. The food and drinks aren't required, but I thought I'd be nice. Put your 3D glasses on and watch the movie. Come ready next week with five facts about giant squids. And since it will be your exam," he added with one of those annoying smiles that suggested he was hiding something, "wear sensible shoes."

Cara looked plenty interruptable, really she did.

Cara wasn't so much watching the movie as examining her 3D glasses curiously. She wasn't really sure what the point of it was.

Were people who talked during movies annoying? Clark didn't get all that distracted by it himself, but perhaps that was because he would likely participate in the chatter once his popcorn was gone.

Given that someone had apparently decided to start throwing hers at him, one kernel at a time, he was unlikely to run out anytime soon.

What? No one in the film had died recently, she was bored.

The glasses were irritating--they never seemed to sit right and in short order she found herself getting a bit of a headache which meant the glasses came off and her attention was drawn more to her notebooks than to the movie.

The popcorn was, however, still getting nibbled on.

As soon as Clark felt the popcorn hitting the side of his head, someone was going to discover that same popcorn heading back her way with an amazing level of precision.

He was maybe aiming to get it down her shirt in a totally innocent way.
wrongkindofsith: (Impatient and criminally pretty)

Were she not currently distracted by the completely innocent popcorn down her cleavage, Cara might almost have complimented him on his aim. Might.

It is was, she was planning just how she'd counter-attack once she'd managed to fish said popcorn back out of there.

Clark was certainly not snickering as he watched her fishing in her cleavage through red and blue glasses.

Such appropriate eye wear for him.

The lack of snickering had absolutely nothing to do with the generous handful of popcorn now flying in Clark's direction.

It had everything to do with the forming plot that involved the leftover ice in her drink cup though.

This was a nice little break. If odd.

Raven wasn't a fan of violent movies.

But for some reason she wasn't entirely flinching from it today.

It was going to take some washing to get that butter out of his hair, but Clark couldn't avoid laughing as he picked it off his shirt and ate it. Like he was wasting perfectly good popcorn.

Cara took advantage of the opportunity to shift to a closer seat. "You missed some," she said quietly, reaching up to play with his hair.

Clearly she was not planning anything untoward.

Of course not! Cara was a sweet girl and knew exactly how to make Clark smile and pause, keeping the popcorn in his hand because she was touching him.
wrongkindofsith: (Her face doesn't break when she smiles)

"Enjoying the movie?" Cara's grin broadened as she lightly trailed her fingertips down to the back of his neck, because nefarious intent or no, she liked getting that reaction. Far more than she sometimes thought she should.

Multitasking, it's an awesome skill.
