Coming into class today, Kūkaku was in another one of those good moods that suggested that something might be up, hinted at in the slight smirk that kept creeping up on her face as she talked.

"Considerin' it's in the the title of the class," she started, "I realized we really haven't touched a lot on dynamite this semester, most importantly, how to make it and how to use it to blow through a lot of shit that might be in your way. Dynamite is an important industrial explosive used in blasting out dam sites, canal beds, mines, quarries, and the foundations of large buildings. It’s also used for demolition in warfare, blah blah blah, all that good information about that dynamite's really good for a really big explosion and basically movin' mountains. The main ingredient is nitroglycerin, and ya mix it with some other stuff, so we're gonna go over the chemistry, and then we're gonna put some together, and then we're heading to the danger shop. I'm sure you're all jus' so surprised."

And so she launched into the usual diagrams and chemical ratios and comments about how improper amounts would turn up blowing off your limbs to make you some one-armed freak or something or blowing up your face to the satisfaction of everyone else around you. You always had to get to that part before the good stuff came along.

Pay attention to the technicalities, because it's not stuff you can easily find on the Intrawebz, especially not all the little things Kūkaku kept throwing in there to "make it even better."

Thinking you're funny and adding big black letters of TNT to the canisters earns you a slap upside the head.

Peter tought he was funny.

Except he was actually painting 'ACME' onto the canisters.

And that was worth a bump on the noggin with an elbow.

"Quit wastin' time on crap when you could be makin' better dynamite, Bishop."

"This makes the dynamite better," Peter said. "Cartoons wouldn't lie to me."

"Those same cartoons where the coyote falls off a cliff and then is back in the next scene, only with bandages?" asked Kūkaku. "Why don't you give that one a try, too, see how that works out for ya."

"Touche," Peter said. "By the way, I could sue you if you hit me again. Just so you know."

Kūkaku's eyes rolled so much, they nearly popped out of her head. "Bet you're a real hit at a party, too, Bishop," she said. "Shut up and stop wasting time. I don't wanna be bored by what you put out in the Danger Shop because you were too busy thinkin' you're funny."

"Hey, I'm only dicking around cause I know what I'm doing," Peter said. It was true, too. He'd studied this stuff in class enough that he was doing a decent job, too. "You're the one who started with being a killjoy."

"You better have one hell of an explosion ready, then, Bishop," Kūkaku said. "You think it's big enough? Make it bigger."

"You want bigger, you get bigger," Peter said, going to do just that. "I respond a lot better to requests than violence."

Kūkaku snorted. "An' ya call me the killjoy..."

Well, Peter thought to himself. It was official. Kukaku was officially crazy in the bad way, at least as far as he could tell. He said nothing, of course, and just went about doing the classwork as requested.

As promised, you get to pretend you're destroying the beauty of nature by blowing up mountains or dams or just craters in the earth for funsies today.

"Only panorama I wanna see at the end of class," Kūkaku informed them, "is one shrouded in smoke!"

When she pings in!

Better make it worth her while; wouldn't want to spoil that good mood.
