"Hi, everyone!" Ariel gave the club a little bit of a wave once it looked like mostly everyone was there and it was time to begin. "I promise, I'm not going to make anyone sing about sexy things today, unless you really want to, in which case, go for it! Today, we're just going to take it easy and sing whatever we might want to sing about and have fun."

Because someone had a birthday party she had to go set up for, ahem.

"But, I was also thinking of something fun we could do next week that might take some practice, but would be a really great way to work together and get to know each other a little more. We should do duets next week! And we could also make it sort of a competition, so that whoever works together best and has the best duet, I've actually picked up a gift certificate for free dinner at Il Pollo. I hear they have free breadsticks! Mister Deadpool and Master Skywalker, obviously, get to judge who has the best. And they don't count, 'cause I know they like to sing together, and then they'd just pick themselves."

As much as she'd support a Deadpool/Anakin dinner date.

Ariel gave a faint, anticipatory smile to the group. "What do you think?"

[[ ETA: My brain is special and just remembered next Thursday is Thanksgiving. So Ariel will amend to make it the week after next for the competition once she finds out what Thanksgiving is ;) ]]

Ariel considered this description carefully, which was probably more accurate than one she'd get from someone from this planet, really.

"That sounds like so much fun!" she concluded, breaking out into a grin. "And that's next Thursday?"

Anakin nodded. "There's normally a dinner thrown by the school for students who stay behind."

"Good," said Ariel, grinning, "because the eating too much food part sounded like it'll be my favorite."

"Avoid the green bean casserole," Anakin advised. "It's...never good. And don't fill up on dinner--there's always pie after."

Ariel nodded, seriously taking in this clearly good advice. "Pie is always good," she agreed. "Though I don't think I've ever filled up too much on dinner before."

The narrative begged for another comment on those legs Triton gave her being hollow ones, which would never get old.

"Thanksgiving is big on carbs," Anakin said. "It's easier than you think."

...Anakin had never seen Ariel eat, had he?

"I don't suppose you could just start with the pie, could you?"

He sighed. "I got yelled at for trying, but perhaps here will not be so strict."

Emily Gilmore had a Thing about starting and ending events in their proper order.

"So you did try!" Ariel said with a giggle that said that if Anakin tried it, she was so going to try it, too.

She could handle being yelled at. Being yelled at was totally worth doing something you weren't supposed to.

Anakin's eyes twinkled. "I had to. I like pumpkin pie."
