There was way too much energy in the air, and after accidentally telling the girl at the Perk exactly how she was feeling this morning, Aly had decided to keep talking to a minimum.

When the class entered the Danger Room, they would see the scale model that had been there last week. And then behind it was the outer wall, the heads of guards visible as they walked their rounds.

"Remember last week?" Aly asked, mostly rhetorically. She gestured first to a stockpile of supplies from armor to bread to bomb-makings then back towards the castle. "Have fun stormin' the castle!"

For a moment, Nico just stared at Luke with wide, blinking blue brown eyes.

Then his lips started to move and he found the words were too fast to even form fully on his lips until Nico let loose with a sudden and exasperated, "WHAT?!"

"I'm sorry!" Luke said, suddenly thankful that people were trying to lay siege to a castle and therefore probably too distracted to listen to them. "We kissed at the kissing booth and then we kissed again at Homecoming and then we just...didn't stop..."

"What doesn't he understand about--" It took all of Nico's willpower to shove his fist against his mouth to prevent himself from telling Luke what was coming.

Another moment and Nico had chilled out enough to finally manage words that Luke could hear. "I'll talk to you tomorrow!"

Well that didn't sound good. But Luke nodded, afraid to say anything else, but looking pretty apologetic. He knew he should probably warn Percy but he honestly was the last person he wanted to talk to when he couldn't lie.
