Apathy Club, Fucking Music Time, What the Shit is Wrong With This Island, Friday

George was bored. George was considering not even showing up for Apathy Club. Except, let's be honest, she was too bored not to go.

And so, she went. And she was just going to sit there, this week, in silence, to wait and see if anybody else would start talking if she waited long enough. Interesting experiment.

Except Fandom had other ideas. Because there was an (admittedly awesome) punk guitar riff, and then -- that voice, singing? That was her.

... okay, so 'singing' was a generous term. So what. It was punk. You didn't need decent vocals for punk.

I went down to the beach and saw Daisy, and she was all, like, 'Ehhhhhhhhhh'
And I'm like, whatever!

Then this chick comes up to me and she's all, like, 'Hey, aren't you that girl --'
And I'm like, yeah, whatever!

So later, I'm at the pool hall, and this girl comes up and she's all, like, 'Ungggggh'
And I'm like, whatever!

'Cause this is MY United States of Whatever!
And this is my United States of Whatever!
And this is my United States of Whatever!

And then it's three AM, I'm on the corner wearing my leather, this dude comes up and he's like 'Hey, punk,'
And I'm like, yeah, whatever!

Then I'm dicking off in class, Professor Farnsworth comes up and he's like 'Hey I thought I told you -'
And I'm like, yeah, whatever!

Then up comes Jono and I'm like, 'yo, Jono, what's up?' and he's like 'Nuthin' and I'm like 'That's cool'

... 'Cause this is MY United States of Whatever!
And this is my United States of Whatever!
And this is my United States of Whatever!

George fucking hated this island. And all of you. Except, apparently, Jono.

At least the song hadn't been about happy shit?

Re: The Faculty Advisor Had Better Not Fucking Sing

Farnsworth was actually not at the club meeting today; he had sent Fake Robot Farnsworth (http://theinfosphere.org/Robot_Farnsworth) in his stead, which was a very realistic looking representation. It even moved in the same jerky arthritic movements.

Fake Farnsworth Robot was not programmed to sing, but it was programmed to insist that it wasn't a robot. So a compromise was made (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_oMD6-6q5Y):

"I’ve been hanging with the unloved kids
Who I never really liked and I never trusted
But I am so magnetic, I pick up all the pins
Never committing to anything
I don’t pick up the phone when it ring, ring, rings
Don’t be so pathetic, just open up and sing

I’m vulnerable, I’m vulnerable
I am not a robot
I’rm loveable, so loveable
But I'm just troubled

Guess what? I’m not a robot, a robot
Guess what? I’m not a robot, a robot

Can you teach me how to feel real?
Can you turn my power on?
Well, let the drum beat drop

Guess what? I’m not a robot
Guess what? I’m not a robot

Guess what? I’m not a robot, a robot
Guess what? I’m not a robot, a robot
Guess what? I’m not a robot, a robot
Guess what? I’m not a robot, a robot
"

Who knew Robot Farnsworth could have such a vocal range?
