Food Appreciation [Week 9, Period 4, Mon. 11/01]

It was the Day of the Dead. Sadly, all that meant to John was hugely marked-down candy prices. And a really terrible stomachache he intended to share with others. "Welcome to the day after Halloween. Just in case any of you failed to stock up, I've brought a ton of moddable candy to share. No creepy clown costumes required." Ew, clowns.

"So far we've talked about a lot of different types of food. Today, we're attacking a dessert. Specifically, the cheesecake." Because he'd wanted some and not gotten it over the weekend. "Now, I know what the kids not from this time or planet are thinking - why would you want cheese in a cake? Trust me, it's not like that. Let's watch a quick video on how it's made and then we'll dig into the different varieties I had brought in from off-island and you can tell us all why you think cheese is a good dessert. There's a whole factory for this stuff so it must be true."

Let's just say trick or treat was not Jane's thing. So the fact that she got to sit here and munch on candy anyway was pretty cool. She might also be swiping some to take with her after class.
